The Algeria men's volleyball team arrived in Tunisia on Monday to participate in the 2014 FIVB Men's World Championship Zone 1 (Pool M) qualification tournament, which runs from Wednesday to Friday in Tunis.
Algeria, Morocco and hosts Tunisia will play a round-robin tournament where the champions will qualify directly to the final round of the qualification, which will be held next January.
Tunisia is a wildcard in the final round qualifiers, being one of the three top African ranked teams in the 2013 Senior Men's Volleyball FIVB World Ranking.
The technical staff of Mourad Sennoun and Mourad Hammouche selected the final squad of 12 players, with the return of the previous national team libero Hassen Dif and the absence of setter Yacine Hakmi, Billel Soualem (injury) and Rafik Djoudj, completing the new look of the team.
The team also includes the professionals Kerboua Ali (Nancy), Mohamed Chikhi (Emarates) and Toufik Mahdjoubi (Qatari Al Sad) who will join the team directly in Tunisia.
